This week in Reading/Writing/Humanities, we learned about the short i, how to enhance our writing by adding details and unfreezing our characters and continuing our learning about how to be good citizens. We love Writers and Readers Workshop and we learned so much about each other with our Me Bags filled with Nouns! In Science we had fun watching ice melt and made predictions, learned how solids and liquids change and the things that would change them. In Math we worked on our numbers and are learning about the different ways we can represent numbers and information.

En ciencia nos divertimos viendo hielos derretirse de diferentes maneras y de haciendo predicciones; aprendimos sobre como los sólidos y líquidos cambian. This week has been full of investigations and activities! Celebrating Dot Day with a design challenge. How tall can you make your "dot" tower using only dots and toothpicks? Planning, creating, improving and sharing. Not as easy as we thought. We also learned about properties of mater. We created a riddle where the students had to solve the problem by classifying materials. We ended the week with a project where they created a totem pole with at least 3 different textures. ¡Esta semana a estado llena de actividades e investigaciones!
